Questions, answered plainly

Can funding change the report?

No. Contributions fund the listening and publishing instrument. The published method—and the residents who answer—determine what the report says. Funders receive no editorial role.

Who counts as an active Resident Funder?

A person with active monthly support counts while that support is active. A person who makes a one-time contribution counts for 30 days. If the same person does both, they still count once.

Is this tax-deductible?

No. Payments on this page go directly to DemocracyOS, Inc., a for-profit company. They are not tax-deductible and provide no equity or extra influence. If a charitable deduction or nonprofit grant eligibility matters, use the Democracy Creative option below.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Yes. Email tech@democracyos.com to cancel monthly support at any time or request a refund within 30 days of payment. Refunds return to the original payment method.

What is public?

Only the aggregate number of active Resident Funders is public by default. Donor identity never joins ballot responses and is never published without a separate, explicit choice.
